About PASPS 9

The 9th International Conference on Physics and Applications of Spin-Related Phenomena in Solids (PASPS 9) will be held at the Kobe International Conference Center in Kobe Japan from 8th to 11th August, 2016. PASPS is a biennial international conference initiated in Sendai (2002) and continued in Würzburg (2002), Santa Barbara (2004), Sendai (2006), Foz do Iguaçu (2008), Tokyo (2010), Eindhoven (2012) and Washington D.C. (2014). PASPS conferences have contributed to develop spintronics as a leading research field for emerging novel fundamental physics and advanced device concepts among fifteen years. This conference aims to highlight the latest developments in using spin-dependent phenomena in nanoelectronics, and intends to provide not only an overview of the current understanding of the spin physics in solids, but also a forum for discussing all the important issues and future challenges for spintronics technologies. Since PASPS VIII, the scope of the conference has been expanded from original one and includes entire fields of spin-related physics in semiconductors, metals, insulators, and organics.
We hope this conference offers an opportunity for exchanging ideas and enjoying constructive discussion by addressing specific individual issues in realizing new spintronics applications.
